Baby Stuff

We are down to 2 months and 2 weeks until the estimated arrival of Baby Neely. So I am now trying to get a few things ready. In order to make the guest room the nursery we will need to take down the bed that is in there, but that will not be happening until after the Auburn game. So no pictures of the nursery yet, but I did go ahead and get the cradle ready last night. I have this antique cradle that came from my mom's family. Well it has been absolutely impossible for me to find a bumper to fit this cradle. It is 10 inches bigger than any cradle they currently sell and 40 inches shorter than a full size crib. And a bumper is definitely necessary as the slats in this cradle are definitely not up code. So I finally just decided to make the bumper myself. Here are some pictures of my handy work.

My general color scheme has been brown and white. Trying to stay as neutral as possible and then maybe add some pink or blue when the baby arrives.

Here is a full view of the cradle in it's current home in our computer nook, where it has been living since I was less than 2 months pregnant.
