Last weekend Oxford hosted the first Presidential Debate between John McCain and Barack Obama. It was very exciting for our small town, there were famous people everywhere. My famous person encounter was with Jim Lehrer, the moderator for the debate. He was staying at one of the properties I manage so I met he and his wife when they got to town.
Jim Lehrer is in the blue and his wife Kate is in the red. I am the large girl on the right.
I was also supposed to meet and get my picture taken with Cindy McCain. She was going to be at a luncheon my sorority was hosting (she is a Theta also) but it was cancelled at the last minute just like all of her other events so that her husband could save the economy.
