Rob and I just got back from a trip to Linville, N.C., which is near Grandfather Mountain and Boone, with a big group of friends. It was a great time, the leaves were just starting to turn and the temps were in the 60's and 70's. The house was built by our friend Murff's great-grandfather in like 1829, it has been in the family ever since. It has no heat, air, or insulation, sleeps like 20 and is right on the golf course. Hiking, golfing and sitting by the fire were the main activities. It is great fun!
